Om-E- Leila Hospital Hearing Clinic

The hearing test clinic at Om-E- Leila Hospital performs newborn and infants hearing tests from birth to three months. According to statistics, 2-3 out of every 1000 children suffer from hearing loss or deficiencies, so it is important to have a neonatal hearing test or screening for newborns early on to prevent complications later in life. Experts recommend that the test be done when the baby is under one month old because at this age he or she can clearly differentiate between various sounds. However, it is still not too late to have a neonatal hearing test performed up to the age of three months. AOAE and AABR tests are used to assess neonatal hearing.Existing research has shown that if deafness and hearing loss are diagnosed before 3 months of age and then treated before 6 months of age, severe complications can be avoided. Therefore, the Wellness Organization has made it possible for all neonates to have a hearing evaluation, using advanced equipment compliant with the highest international standards (OAE).Hearing Clinic hours are 7-9 am Saturday thru WednesdayTo contact hearing clinic, please call 98 76 3353055, Ext
